Famous for its slogan, "Built for Life" Stanley Thermos products have an excellent reputation, almost indestructible. Having once thought that the stories about their life and durability are just marketing hype or a group of remakes too much, I decided to get to the bottom of things and some experiments on my own. I will try and abuse of the Stanley thermoses breaking point, and see if it still keeps the coffee hot after a considerable amount of physical damage.At worst, I'll see if you develop a leak.

Everyone has heard the term "Thermos", but most do not know much about why it works and where it comes from. A good "Thermos" keeps your food cold or hot drinks or for a longer period.

Over a century ago, in 1892 Sir James Dewar, a chemist and physicist who invented the thermos flask. They were called Dewar flasks. The first thermal jugs were produced commercially by a German company named Thermos in 1904.
